Many practices promise “high-quality evaluations.” In reality, most neuropsychologists work largely on their own, with little oversight or collaboration. At NESCA, quality is not a slogan – it’s a system.
Your or your child’s care is supported by a deeply collaborative clinical model:
- Three Clinical Directors provide ongoing supervision, quality control, and review of evaluations and reports.
- All clinicians new to NESCA complete an intensive onboarding and training in NESCA’s clinical approach and report standards regardless of how long they have been a neuropsychologist. For the first 6-12 months, all clinicians hired at NESCA receive in-depth mentoring from one of our clinical directors.
- Our team meets weekly for case conferences and seminars focused on complex diagnostic questions and effective interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults with special needs. This means our evaluations are not based just one clinician’s input; they reflect the collective experience, expertise, and clinical judgment of the entire NESCA clinical team.
- We intentionally limit the number of evaluations each clinician takes on each month so they have the time and focus to think deeply about each individual’s unique profile.
Effective Solutions
At NESCA, our job is not simply to “test an individual or a child.” Testing is a tool – not the endpoint.
Our goal is to understand what is getting in a person’s way and to help them find real, practical solutions that are achievable for each family. We translate assessment data and results; historic data; parent, educator, and caregiver input; and our clinical and behavioral observations into clear, actionable recommendations and a thoughtful plan of support. Just as importantly, we help families and schools carry that plan out so that the evaluation leads to meaningful changes in a person’s daily life.
We measure our success by whether an individual is better supported, better understood, and better positioned to reach their goals.
Accessible Care
Exceptional care is resource-intensive, and we work hard to make it as accessible as possible for families:
- We accept major health plans, including BCBS and United Behavioral Health.
- We offer 0% financing options and automated payment through HSA/FSA accounts.
- To accommodate busy family schedules, we provide some appointments on Saturdays and select holidays by request.
