What We Do
- Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluations — to better understand why an individual may be having difficulty meeting age-appropriate demands in school, the community, or at home, or to monitor a young person’s progress and course of development. They provide a highly-detailed description of an individual’s developmental status, thinking patterns, and learning style.
- Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations — screens children who are considered at high risk of having an autism spectrum disorder to request Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Clinicians examine social communication, relationship skills, and other factors that may contribute to a child’s challenges
- International Evaluations — deliver accurate and insightful assessments for families coming from outside of the U.S. These evaluations generate timely, exceptionally clear and useful written reports, which embody a rich understanding of each child and their specific needs.
- Parent Consultations — to better support their child’s skill acquisition and needs outside of school hours.
- Personalized Reports — clearly written, tailored reports that serve as essential tools for parents, educators, and related professionals to use in supporting the development and educational progress of children.
- Support for Follow-up — to ensure that families have or will effectively implement recommendations.

Evaluation Process – What to Expect:
At NESCA, we offer comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations. Our comprehensive evaluations involve academic, cognitive, and emotional components.
- The first appointment is a 1-hour parent intake session, which is being conducted via our HIPAA-compliant Zoom.
- There are then typically 2 in-person testing/assessment sessions for the child, approximately 3 hours each.
- The last appointment is a 90-minute parent feedback session conducted via Zoom. At this meeting, the clinician will review the findings of the evaluation, address your concerns, and discuss recommendations.
Following the feedback appointment, you will receive a comprehensive written report in about 6 weeks. This report will contain all of the testing scores, interpretation of the data, the clinician’s diagnostic impressions, a holistic picture of how your child’s learning style and emotional functioning intersect to influence academic and social functioning, and specific recommendations tailored to your family and child.
