Pre- and College Coaching

Overview

NESCA’s college coaching services provide individualized, practical support to help students transition from high school to two- or four-year college programs. Coaching is tailored to each student’s unique goals and may range from short-term support (6-8 sessions) to ongoing coaching through the first semester of college or beyond.

Our transition specialists help students and families identify colleges that are the best fit based on academic interests, learning style, personality, strengths, and support needs. Services may include developing a college planning timeline, building a college list, preparing for visits, understanding the transition to college, researching supports, strengthening resumes, managing applications, and exploring gap year or alternative transition programs when appropriate.

NESCA also offers real-world, community-based coaching. Coaches can accompany students on college visits, help assess campus fit, and support students in learning to navigate college environments, access resources, and build independent living and executive functioning skills for greater success in college and beyond.
